About Ka’apuni Scholars
Ka'apuni Scholars supports graduating seniors from Kailua High School, Kalaheo High School, and James B. Castle High School who are pursuing a four-year college education.
We seek students who demonstrate strong character, ambition, integrity, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their communities. Our goal is to invest in young leaders with the potential to grow, contribute, and thrive throughout their academic and professional journeys.
Selected Ka'apuni Scholars will receive an annual scholarship grant for each of their four years in college, helping to reduce financial barriers and support their continued success. Beyond financial assistance, each scholar is paired with a dedicated mentor who provides guidance, encouragement, and real-world insight as they navigate college and prepare for their future careers.
At Ka'apuni Scholars, we believe that opportunity is strengthened by relationships. By combining financial support with mentorship, we aim to empower the next generation of leaders from Windward O’ahu.

Founded by Members of the Kailua Community
Ka'apuni Scholars was established by members of the Kailua community who share a deep appreciation for Windward O’ahu and a commitment to supporting the next generation of local leaders.
Through scholarships and mentorship, Ka'apuni Scholars seeks to invest in young people who will make meaningful contributions to their communities, professions, and the world around them.
The program reflects a simple belief: when a community invests in its students, those students can go on to create lasting impact for others.
