How Selection Works
A light, counselor-led process that puts local knowledge first

COUNSELORS NOMINATE
Each of the three schools' college & career counselors nominates 3-5 graduating seniors — not necessarily top GPA, but students whose trajectory they believe in.

STUDENTS APPLY
Nominated students submit a personal statement, brief financial context, and one letter of recommendation.

COMITTEE SELECTS
A selection committee reviews applications against a simple rubric — keeping the process fair, documented, and independent.

SCHOLAR & MENTOR
The scholarship is paid directly to the student's college, and the sponsoring donor begins a mentoring relationship.
🗓️ September - November 2026 - Counsellors at each school introduce the scholarship.
🗓️ January 2027 - Counsellors nominate 3-5 scholars and ask them to complete applications.
🗓️ Mid February - Nominate students complete and submit application.
🗓️ Mid February to Early March - Selection committee reviews and decides.
🗓️ Mid March - award notification.
